DORNBIRN – Scientists from the Hohenstein Institute have revealed details of a new type of textile finish which provides a 'sensory cooling' effect for performance garments to delegates at the ongoing Man-Made Fibers Congress in Dornbirn, Austria. The finishing substances used are claimed to have a lasting mild cooling effect throughout their period of activity when spread in very low concentrations on small areas of the body. Tommy Lee reports from Dornbirn.
