OREGON – Nike looks set to enter the athleisure market after filing a patent for “architecturally reinforced denim” – which in essence could be a hybrid of jeans and jogging pants. The filing describes the fabrics as comprising up to 63 per cent cotton fibre, 35 per cent high tenacity polymer fibre for moisture management, and 2 per cent elastic polymer.
