AUGSBURG – A fashion supply chain traceability pilot study has led to the introduction of what’s said to be the world’s first intelligent sorting system for textiles in Germany.

At the site of Aktion Hoffnung, a charitable collection organisation in Augsburg, staff are said to be leveraging Circular.Fashion’s identification technology to streamline how they collect and sort through goods.

It’s deemed a major milestone in the Closed Loop project, which Circular.Fashion and FairWertung – a non-profit convening collectors and sorters – launched last year with support from German brands Armed Angels, Besonnen, Otto, The Slow Label and Vretena.
